The Henderson Parks and Recreation Department maintains 65 public parks (including 17 dog parks, 16 splash pads, 7 skate parks, and 2 BMX parks), 8 recreation centers, 11 aquatic facilities, and over 180 miles of hiking and bicycle trails.
Henderson offers youth programs for baseball, basketball, soccer, softball, and volleyball. Adults can choose from basketball, flag football, pickleball, soccer, softball, and volleyball. Healthy Henderson gives members access to nutrition and wellness info, educational and recreational classes, multi-fitness centers, aquatics, and racquetball. The city also hosts several special events such as Healthy Henderson Fair, 90-Day Weight Loss Challenge, and holiday 5K runs.
